LITTABOOK is a mobile application for e-books and e-notebooks — "Z Littabookom je vsaka knjiga vedno s tabo" (With Littabook, every book is always with you).
The app makes reading accessible anywhere, anytime. Whether you're commuting, traveling, or relaxing at home, your entire library fits in your pocket.

The Challenge
Littabook had a vision: make e-books and digital notebooks accessible to Slovenian readers through a beautiful, native mobile experience. Traditional app development quotes were coming in at 3-6 months and substantial budgets.
They needed to move fast — get a quality product to market, onboard early users, and prove the concept would resonate with readers.

Our Approach
Day 1-2: Discovery
We analyzed the e-reading market and Littabook's unique positioning. The focus was clear: create the best reading experience possible, not just another e-book app.
We identified the core user journey: discover → download → read → annotate → sync.
Day 3-4: Architecture
We chose React Native for the mobile app and React for the web dashboard:
- React Native for iOS and Android mobile apps
- React web dashboard for content and user management
- Firebase for backend (auth, library sync, storage)
- Single codebase approach where possible
The architecture prioritized reading experience while enabling publishers to manage content easily.
Day 5-7: Development
Built the core reading experience:
- User authentication and library management
- E-book reader with customizable settings
- E-notebook support with digital ink
- Offline download and reading
- Progress sync across devices
- Clean, typography-focused UI
Day 8-9: Polish
Focused on the reading details that matter:
- Page turn animations
- Night mode for comfortable reading
- Font and sizing options
- Bookmark and annotation sync
- App store assets and descriptions
Day 10: Launch
Submitted to both App Store and Google Play. Littabook was ready for readers.
